  • Emotional distress or mental health effects experienced as a result of viewing, interacting with, or participating in Circus of Want’s content.

  • Physical injury, harm, or death resulting from participation in any events, productions, stunts, or engagements associated with Circus of Want.

  • Arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles County, California, unless both parties agree to an alternative or remote location.

  • The costs of arbitration shall be divided equally between both parties unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.

  • Each party shall bear their own legal fees and costs, except as permitted by law.

Exceptions to Arbitration Requirement

This arbitration clause does not apply to disputes involving:

1.    Intellectual Property Rights – Claims regarding copyright infringement or unauthorized use of Circus of Want’s creative works.

2.    Small Claims Court – Disputes under a certain monetary threshold may be resolved in California Small Claims Court.

3.    Emergency Relief – Either party may seek injunctive relief in court if necessary.

Final & Binding Decision

  • The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding on all parties involved.

  • The arbitrator may grant any relief authorized by law, but punitive damages are strictly prohibited.

1. No Unsolicited Material Policy

We do not accept unsolicited scripts, treatments, pitches, or other creative materials in any form or medium. Any unsolicited materials received will be discarded without review and will not be returned.

2. Submission Release Requirement

For any requested submissions, contributors must complete and sign our Submission Release Form before we review any materials. This ensures that submitting content is voluntary and does not create a contractual obligation.

3. Similar Projects & Coincidental Resemblance

As a creative studio, Circus of Want actively develops original concepts. The sender acknowledges that:

  • Our company may have independently developed similar ideas.

  • Any resemblance between submitted materials and existing or future projects is purely coincidental.

  • Stories, characters, and themes in our productions may reflect real-life events or people, but such similarities are unintentional and a common occurrence in storytelling.

4. Legal, Mediation & Compensation Agreement

By submitting materials, the sender agrees to the following legal provisions:

  • No entitlement to compensation, credit, or collaboration unless explicitly outlined in a written agreement.

  • Any disputes shall first be resolved through mediation in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with the following statutes:

    • California Code of Civil Procedure § 1281 – Governs arbitration agreements and mediation procedures.

    • California Civil Code § 1638 – Ensures contracts are interpreted based on clear terms.

    • California Business and Professions Code § 16600 – Affirms protection against unreasonable restrictions on business operations.

  • If mediation does not result in resolution, parties may proceed with binding arbitration as governed by the California Arbitration Act (Code of Civil Procedure § 1280-1294.2).

  • In the event of any legal dispute, Circus of Want agrees that the maximum compensation payable to the submitting party shall be a one-time payment not exceeding $10,000.00, with no further obligations, royalties, rights or additional damages.
